Why do I Celebrate Diwali
Why does a non-dualist celebrate Diwali? People see the photograph of Neem Karoli Baba behind me in sessions. Then they hear me talk about oneness, non-duality, consciousness. And they get confused. "Wait. If you believe you and God are one, why do you have an altar? Why do rituals? Isn't that contradicting yourself?" I used to think the same way. I used to reject everything that didn't fit my "understanding." But that was before I actually understood what non-duality means. This isn't about rejecting forms. It's about recognizing that all forms are consciousness playing with itself. The wave celebrating being the ocean. The drop honoring the totality. In this video, we explore why Adi Shankaracharya wrote devotional hymns about the same reality he called "one," what Ravana's ten heads actually represent and why it matters, the real story beneath the Ramayana, why humans light fires on the darkest nights across every culture, how invoking deities is energy work not superstition, and my journey from "perfect life" to complete disconnection to understanding. This is for anyone trying to reconcile spiritual understanding with traditional practices. Or just wondering: how does this actually work in real life? The Deepest Betrayal: How You Abandon Your Own Truth | Healing Meditation
*Do you push people away before they can leave you?* Why do you abandon yourself before anyone else gets the chance? You know the pattern. You shrink yourself to fit spaces you were never meant for. You carry your family's limitations in your bones and call it loyalty. You sabotage your own success because choosing yourself feels like betrayal. This meditation is about the deepest abandonment of all - the way you abandon yourself. In this guided meditation, we work with: Why you choose familiar pain over unfamiliar growth How you carry ancestral wounds that were never yours Breaking cycles of self-abandonment that run generations deep Learning to stay with yourself when growth feels dangerous *You'll recognize yourself if:* Success feels like betrayal. You keep yourself small to make others comfortable. You're exhausted from running from your own truth. *This is deep work.* We go into the childhood patterns, the family wounds, the places where you learned that closeness meant danger. Then we create space to choose differently. How to practice? Find a safe, quiet place to sit or lie down. If you feel dizzy or overwhelmed, pause, breathe normally, and resume only if it feels right. Avoid practicing while driving or during tasks requiring attention. Who this is for? Seekers ready to stop running from old stories and meet themselves with honesty, gratitude, and care. If pregnant or managing cardiovascular/respiratory conditions, consult a qualified professional before breathwork. If you feel dizzy, anxious, or numb, pause and breathe normally. Practice in a safe environment; never while driving or operating machinery. This content is for education/spiritual wellbeing, not diagnosis or treatment. If this practice stirred strong emotions, you're not alone. Breathe, drink water, journal a few lines, and return when ready. *Reminder:* This meditation is not medical or therapeutic advice.
