Redesigning the Blueprint of Your Life
I Used to Think I Had It All—At Least on Paper
The house, the car, the lavish vacations that make for envy-inducing posts. But at some point, success became a performance rather than a genuine sense of fulfillment. On the outside, I looked like the poster child for “making it,” but inside, I was suffocating under someone else’s idea of how life should be lived.
It all unraveled—my job, my marriage, my finances. Only after I was stripped of these external markers did I see the truth:
I’d never actually built a life on my own terms. I’d been living a blueprint handed to me by culture, family, and the need for approval.
That realization was both terrifying and liberating.
The Problem: Living Someone Else’s Blueprint
Most of us inherit a script. It goes something like:
1. Do well in school.
2. Get a degree and a title that looks good on a business card.
3. Marry, buy a house, juggle kids and an ever-expanding to-do list.
4. Keep climbing until you can retire and “enjoy life”—whatever that means.
This path works fine for some, but for a lot of people, it leads to a slow boil of discontent.
You might do everything “right” and still wonder, Why am I restless? Why do I feel empty, even though I followed the rules?
My collapse forced me to confront those questions head-on—and it might be forcing you to do the same.
Step One: Facing the Mirror
Being Brutal honest is your first threshold.
For me, the truth came slowly, through what I now call my “wreckage audit.” I laid everything bare—my career moves, relationships, habits, and even the beliefs I held about myself. What I found wasn’t pretty. I discovered that much of what I thought I wanted—success, approval, validation—wasn’t rooted in authenticity. It was built on fear: fear of not being enough, of not belonging.
This wasn’t a neat process. It was messy, painful, and often humbling. Therapy helped me untangle the web of expectations and understand the patterns keeping me stuck. Shadow work—facing the parts of myself I’d long ignored—became another crucial tool. It was like peeling off armor that had grown into my skin.
It’s not about blaming parents, bosses, or a system that values status over substance. It’s about looking in the mirror and asking, “How did I end up living a life that isn’t mine?”
If you’re ready to take this step, consider enlisting support. This doesn’t mean you have to follow my exact path, but a skilled guide—whether a psychologist, spiritual counselor, or any other talk therapist/counselor—can help you navigate the depths. They’ll ask the hard questions, challenge your narratives, and hold space for you to see yourself clearly.
Therapy isn’t about being fixed; it’s about uncovering what’s already there. Sometimes, it’s about having someone who sees the parts of you that you can’t yet see for yourself.
Step Two: Exploring the Tools That Resonate
Many individuals encounter a moment when they sense something is amiss but struggle to identify how to address it. This is where modalities play a role. Consider them as tools—not instant solutions or magical remedies, but resources that can aid and speed up your healing and self-discovery when engaged with genuinely and openly. The real strength of these tools is in their ability to help you reconnect with yourself and incorporate their insights into your life.
Approaches That Helped Me Find Deeper Insight
1. Akashic Records
This is what started it all for me. I was already meditating, had turned vegan, and had stripped away sensory entanglements, thinking I was on the right path. But in truth, I was escaping, though I couldn’t see it at the time. Through a series of seemingly random coincidences, I connected with an Akashic reader Gurjot Kaur. That reading revealed what my soul had signed up for, opening a door I didn’t even know existed. From there, life became a roller-coaster of realizations, breakthroughs, and growth, ultimately leading me to where I am today.
The Akashic Records helped me explore soul contracts—the agreements we make before entering this life—and understand the reasons behind many stuck areas in my life. My belief is that these modalities don’t show up by accident. They arrive when the universe feels you’re ready for the guidance and growth they offer.
Think of the Akashic Records as a library of your soul’s experiences—past, present, and potential. It’s not about fortune-telling; it’s about uncovering karmic or ancestral patterns that keep you cycling through the same issues.
Exploring the Records can illuminate the deeper reasons behind challenges, relationships, or recurring themes in your life.
If this resonates with you, consider scheduling a reading with a reputable practitioner or even learning to access the Records yourself. Reflect on the themes that emerge and journal about how they manifest in your daily life. Trust the process and the timing—it’s all part of your soul’s unfolding journey.
2. Energy Healing
Our bodies are interconnected networks of energy channels (nadis/meridians) and energy centers (chakras). Emotional stagnation or physical ailments often have roots in energetic blockages within these subtle systems. When energy flows freely through the nadis, meridians, and chakras, we feel balanced and aligned. When it doesn’t, we may experience fatigue, emotional overwhelm, or even physical symptoms.
Healing isn’t just physical—it’s also energetic
Modalities like Pranic Healing work to clear these obstructions by focusing on the energetic anatomy. Through cleansing and energizing the affected areas, these practices restore harmony to the body’s energy system, enabling deeper emotional and physical healing.
After a session, take time to notice subtle changes in your mood, mental clarity, or physical sensations. Pay attention to any shifts around areas traditionally associated with chakras—such as a feeling of openness in the heart (Anahata chakra) or enhanced intuition linked to the third eye (Ajna chakra). Journaling these experiences can deepen your awareness and help anchor the effects of the healing.
By addressing these energetic layers, you’re not just treating symptoms—you’re creating space for profound transformation from the inside out.
3. Meditation: Raw and Unfiltered
This isn’t the breezy 5-minute mindfulness you’ll see on trendy apps. It’s the kind where you face yourself—your triggers, old wounds, repetitive thought loops—and learn to sit with whatever arises. Start with 15 minutes each day. Don’t expect bliss; expect to meet discomfort and the urge to quit. Over time, you’ll discover a potent sense of presence and self-understanding.
For deeper experiences, look out for group meditations where the collective energy amplifies the practice. There’s a palpable power in meditating with others, creating a supportive environment that enhances focus and inner connection. If attending a group isn’t feasible, you can start with pre-recorded meditations, which provide structure and guidance.
At my website, we’re also launching a Meditations Section soon, offering a variety of guided meditations to help you begin or deepen your practice. Whether you’re looking to ground yourself, clear emotional blocks, or connect with your higher self, these resources will be curated to support every stage of your journey.
Meditation is not about escaping reality—it’s about meeting it head-on and, in the process, finding profound clarity and peace.
Whether alone, in a group, or with guided support, let meditation become a daily ritual of self-discovery.
4. Tarot, Pendulum & Other “Divination” Tools
These tools reflect your inner world, highlighting emotions and patterns you may have overlooked. Tarot lays out archetypal images that help you recognize themes in your life, while a pendulum taps into your subconscious “yes/no” responses. Other methods—runes, oracle cards, or even scrying—offer different avenues for insight. The power lies in exploring your reactions to these tools, rather than treating their messages as unchangeable destiny.
If you’re inclined to explore, start with a pendulum. Spend time tuning into and aligning with it, allowing it to act as a bridge to your intuition. A pendulum can help you tap into subtle energies and provide clarity on questions or decisions that feel murky.
Similarly, tarot can be a profound tool for self-reflection. You might begin by booking a reading with an experienced practitioner or, if you’re curious, learn to use the cards yourself. Understanding their symbols and meanings can offer empowering insights into your inner world.
These tools aren’t about fortune-telling—they’re about strengthening your connection to your intuition and opening a dialogue with your subconscious mind.
5. Hindu Astrology: A Roadmap for Your Soul
Astrology isn’t about fortune-telling—it’s about understanding yourself and the energies shaping your life. Hindu astrology, or Jyotish, offers a profound perspective by mapping the karmic lessons, challenges, and opportunities you carry into this lifetime. It provides clarity on your soul’s purpose, while also highlighting the planetary influences during different phases of your life, known as dashas.
For me, astrology became a lifeline when I felt stuck and directionless. At a time when I couldn’t make sense of why certain things were falling apart in my life, an astrologer helped me decode my birth chart.
They showed me the karmic patterns I was replaying, which choices were leading me astray, and where I was out of alignment with my dharma. The chart didn’t just give answers; it gave me direction.
Astrology also revealed how planetary dashas were intensifying certain challenges in my life. Instead of seeing these periods as obstacles, I began to see them as opportunities for growth and realignment. The insights helped me stop resisting the flow of life and start working with it.
The most liberating realization was this: the more I grew spiritually and deepened my self-awareness, the less these planetary forces controlled me.
The chart became a guide, not a sentence. It shifted from “what will happen to me?” to “how can I navigate this with wisdom?”
How Hindu Astrology Can Help You?
Discover Karmic Patterns: Understand recurring issues and the lessons they hold.
Navigate Life’s Phases: Dashas help you prepare for what to expect and focus on in different periods.
Align with Your Purpose: Gain clarity on your dharma and the path most aligned with your growth.
Empower Self-Growth: Learn how to work with life’s energies instead of resisting them.
Astrology, at its heart, isn’t about predicting your fate—it’s about empowering you to take charge of your journey. If you feel drawn to explore, start with a trusted Vedic astrologer who can provide insights into your chart. Reflect on their guidance and use it as a tool for personal transformation.
No matter the modality, real change occurs when you actively integrate the insights into your daily life.
Tools are a starting point, but transformation happens through consistent effort. Journaling, therapy, and honest conversations with trusted friends can help you ground these revelations, turning them into lasting shifts that reshape your reality.
Step Three: Trusting the Process (Without Expecting a Free Pass)
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that real growth doesn’t come with guarantees. The second you think you’ve got it all figured out, life tosses another lesson your way. When I started working with modalities like the Akashic Records or intense meditation sessions, I had no promise of healing, wealth, or happiness. But I did have the conviction that the old life wasn’t mine—and that was enough to take the leap.
Synchronicities tend to show up once you commit fully. You stumble onto the right book, connect with the right mentor, or find a group of people going through the same metamorphosis. It’s not random—it’s alignment. That doesn’t mean everything gets easy. It just means you start to see how the dots connect.
Final Thoughts: The Courage to Choose Your Own Path
When you finally stand face-to-face with your own authenticity, you realize that losing it all wasn’t actually losing—it was shedding layers that never belonged to you in the first place.
Breaking free from a prescribed life is an ongoing practice, not a weekend workshop. It’s gritty, often lonely, and can unravel everything you once held as stable. But there’s no substitute for the freedom of living on your own terms.
If you’re at that crossroads—where the life you’re “supposed” to want no longer makes sense—take heart. You’re not broken; you’re waking up. The path ahead is messy, but it’s yours. Whether it’s Akashic Records, energy healing, or raw, unfiltered meditation, find the toolset that lights you up and dig in. This isn’t a quick fix or a promise of endless bliss, but trust me, it’s worth every ounce of effort.
Because in the end, if you don’t own your life, someone else will—and that’s a heavier chain than any material burden you’ll ever carry.
Very well consolidated and insightful article! It’s truly important to look within and introspect, something we often choose to overlook and ignore. This path has its ups and downs but it’s truly worth it, accepting yourself and your purpose without the need to change and control the same, go with the flow is the way to be 💯✨
