The Purpose of My Story
I share my journey of spiritual awakening not just as a personal narrative but as a beacon of hope for anyone navigating through life’s challenges. The Unseen Beginnings: A Child’s Intuition
My journey towards spiritual awakening began in the subtleties of childhood, where I always felt a profound sense of otherness. This intuition, a constant whisper, told me that the conventional paths and goals pursued by others around me were not my calling. This feeling, though subtle, was a steady reminder that my journey was destined to diverge from the ordinary.
Teenage Dreams: Music as a Refuge
As a teenager, music became my refuge and a channel for self-expression. At 15, playing in a band wasn’t just about creating music; it was about nurturing a dream, a vision of a life deeply entwined with creativity and passion. However, this dream was short-lived, as life had other plans.
A Sudden Shift: Family Fortune Lost
At 18, my life took an abrupt turn with our family’s financial downfall. This crisis forced me to step up and support my family, sidelining my aspirations in music. The loss of financial stability instilled in me an aversion to conventional stability, leading me to live a life focused on short-term goals, devoid of a long-term vision.
The Unconventional Path: From Bands to DJing
The void left by my unfulfilled musical aspirations led me to DJing, under the mentorship of DJ Rummy. This new venture blended my passion for music with the practicality of earning a living, teaching me to adapt and find new ways to connect with music.
The Tech Era and Entrepreneurial Leap
In 1999, I entered the technology sector, a period foundational for my future entrepreneurial ventures. This era was not just about career development; it was a time of learning and understanding the potential within me. In 2006, I embraced entrepreneurship, a journey towards self-reliance, filled with challenges and learning.
Marriage and Fatherhood: A New Perspective
In 2011, my personal life took a significant turn with marriage and soon, the joys of fatherhood. My children brought a new kind of light and learning into my life. However, this period was also marked by internal turmoil, eventually leading to a pervasive sense of depression.
The Dark Night of the Soul
By 2014, depression became a constant companion. My marriage was failing, and couples therapy, which we took on and off for three years, resulted in the rude awakening that my partner was not desirous of putting the effort into making it work. We decided to have another child in 2016, but this only brought bigger cracks to the surface. I spiraled into depression, relying on SSRIs, alcohol, motorcycles, and sleeping pills to cope. My marriage ultimately ended in 2021, marking a painful chapter in my life.
Post-COVID: Diving Deeper
The pandemic period led me deeper into introspection. Struggling to find balance, I swung to the other extreme – adopting a vegan lifestyle, giving up alcohol, and immersing myself in literature like “Power vs. Force,” “Biology of Belief,” and “The Power of Now.” My quest for understanding took me to the realms of esoteric astrology, largely thanks to The Pattern app, which offered profound insights into my spiritual journey.
The Turning Point
In 2018, during a particularly turbulent period in my life, I met a mentor. At a time when I was grappling with intense emotional turmoil, this mentor became a beacon of light and wisdom. They introduced me to the practices of meditation and contemplation, which opened new doors of self-awareness and inner peace for me.
But more than that; this mentor imparted an understanding of love – a kind that was deep, elemental, and transcendent of the usual definitions. This was not just love in the romantic sense, but a universal, unifying force that connected me more deeply with the world around me.
However, life had other plans, and their departure overseas marked a significant turning point. Their absence left a void, and I found myself plunged into a deeper state of despair. This challenging period, paradoxically, fueled my spiritual quest even more. It pushed me to delve deeper into the lessons they had shared, to find solace and strength within myself, and to explore the vast, intricate landscape of my own soul.
The Pandemic: A Period of Introspection
The arrival of COVID-19 and the loss of my business were a reflection of humanity’s collective struggle. This period forced me to confront the fragility of life and the need for a deeper understanding of our existence.
Epilogue: A Journey of Resilience and Awakening
Reflecting on my journey, I see a path woven with resilience, discovery, and transformation. From the early feelings of being an outsider, through the trials of entrepreneurship, the joys and challenges of marriage and fatherhood, to the dark nights of depression and the enlightening influence of mentors – each phase has been crucial to my spiritual awakening.

To those on a similar path, know that your journey, with its unique challenges and joys, is an integral part of your awakening. Embrace each experience, each emotion, as a guide leading you towards a deeper understanding of yourself and the world.
