What does it truly mean to be an instrument of the divine?
It means surrendering—not just in thought, but in action. It’s about letting go of the need to control, understand, or dictate how healing unfolds. It’s about trusting that the divine knows exactly what is needed, even when we do not.
Imagine standing on a path shrouded in fog. You can’t see the entire journey, but you trust that each step will take you closer to where you’re meant to be. This is what it means to surrender to the divine as a healer. You don’t have to see the whole picture. You simply have to trust the process.
An instrument does not ask why it’s being played or how the melody will end. It doesn’t question the notes or resist the hands that guide it. It simply allows itself to be used for its purpose. And as healers, we are the same. Our role is not to control but to be available.
But being an instrument isn’t passive. It requires preparation and intentionality. To stay aligned with the divine flow, we must:
• Surrender Judgment: Release the need to know why or how healing happens. Trust that the energy will flow where it is most needed.
• Cultivate Presence: Show up fully, without distraction or doubt. Healing energy flows best through clarity and focus.
• Trust the Divine: Let go of the outcome. Healing doesn’t require our interference—only our willingness to allow.
Being an instrument of the divine isn’t always comfortable. It asks us to release control, to embrace uncertainty, and to trust in something greater than ourselves. But in doing so, it also frees us from the weight of responsibility.
Remember, the divine knows the melody, even if you do not. Your role is not to understand—it’s to allow. Trust in that, and healing will flow effortlessly through you.
